Proverbs 29:2-7
[2] When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice;
but when the wicked rule, the people groan.
[3] He who loves wisdom makes his father glad,
but one who keeps company with harlots squanders his substance.
[4] By justice a king gives stability to the land,
but one who exacts gifts ruins it.
[5] A man who flatters his neighbor
spreads a net for his feet.
[6] An evil man is ensnared in his transgression,
but a righteous man sings and rejoices.
[7] A righteous man knows the rights of the poor;
a wicked man does not understand such knowledge.

Isaiah 18:7
[7] At that time gifts will be brought to the LORD of hosts
from a people tall and smooth,
from a people feared near and far,
a nation mighty and conquering,
whose land the rivers divide,
to Mount Zion, the place of the name of the LORD of hosts.

Hebrews 2:14-18
[14] Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same nature, that through death he might destroy him who has the power of death, that is, the devil,
[15] and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong bondage.
[16] For surely it is not with angels that he is concerned but with the descendants of Abraham.
[17] Therefore he had to be made like his brethren in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make expiation for the sins of the people.
[18] For because he himself has suffered and been tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.

Matthew 2:16-18
[16] Then Herod, when he saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, was in a furious rage, and he sent and killed all the male children in Bethlehem and in all that region who were two years old or under, according to the time which he had ascertained from the wise men.
[17] Then was fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Jeremiah:
[18] “A voice was heard in Ramah,
wailing and loud lamentation,
Rachel weeping for her children;
she refused to be consoled,
because they were no more.”
